Me! Me! Me!
I was born in Canada and lived there all my life… all my life until I moved to Seattle in November 2009. I put my software dev career on hold and moved here to be with my husband, and together we are living the American dream – whatever that is – until his work visa expires and we have 10 days to vacate the country.
I like Seattle, it is a lot like where I come from. It has its upsides and downsides – upsides being Hulu and nationwide cellular data plans, and downsides being poor NHL coverage, and money that is all the same colour (with a U).
I come from a big family – one where you have to be loud to be heard, and speak confidently to have any sort of credibility (regardless of if you know what you are talking about). I am the youngest daughter of three girls and a boy, and have learned that the best way not to get lost in the crowd is to make ‘em laugh. I also have a lot of opinions, and generally feel that most of them are correct. Naturally, these factors have lead me to follow in the footsteps of loudmouths before me, and shoot my opinions out to cyber space, where I can triumph unprotested. Maybe someone will stumble upon them and make some snarky comments – I can only hope.
